Prosthetics and Orthotics department is dedicated to creating a unique set of artificial tools and devices to grow the functionality of individuals with physical impairments. To meet the complex needs of every beneficiary, experts need to choose distinct material for fabrication and align them to create something that meets the demands of an individual.

Academics:

The objective of the Prosthetic & Orthotic Department is to develop manpower in the field of rehabilitation by undertaking long-term programs of DPO (2 years and 6 months), BPO curse of (4 years and 6 months), and MPO course of 2 years. We do have short-term courses for qualified rehab centers, allied health professionals, and personnel.

Our offerings/ services:

  • To evaluate, assess, plan and execute prosthetic and orthotic treatment to patients attending the department.
  • To provide cosmetic restorative prostheses to a person with disabilities & guidance to the parents for maintenance of the appliance.

Other activities:

  • To undertake Research and Developmental activities.
  • To organize outreach camps for locomotion disability to serve the patients living in the interior part of Madhya Pradesh under the ADIP scheme 2017
